Jackie Polofka is a glass artist that grew up in northern Ohio. She graduated from BGSU with a BFA in 2016. Since she has worked up and down the east coast from Corning, New York; Norfolk, Virginia; to Star, North Carolina. In the spring of 2022 she moved back to Kelleys Island Ohio where she now has her own shop, Double Dipped Studios.

 

Polofka has always been drawn to the intricacy and beauty of natural formations, patterns, and textures. Throughout her journey with glass she has been able to use various techniques to mimic these natural wonders. She is also inspired by technical Venetian glassblowing and strives to combine these two interests to make simple, elegant pieces in her own style.
